Mama Sita’s Menudo/Afritada Mix

Mama Sita’s Menudo/Afritada Savory Sauce Mix is a versatile seasoning blend used to create two of the most beloved Filipino tomato-based stews. It features a perfect balance of tomato, garlic, and onions, providing a rich, tangy, and savory base that pairs beautifully with meat and root vegetables. Whether you are cooking Menudo (typically with diced pork and liver) or Afritada (chicken or beef chunks), this mix ensures a consistent, traditional flavor with minimal effort. 

USAGE:

Sauté 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of diced meat (pork or chicken) in oil until browned, then add 1 cup of water and simmer until tender. Stir in one pouch of Mama Sita’s Menudo/Afritada Mix along with cubed potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers (and raisins or liver for Menudo). Continue to simmer until the sauce thickens and the vegetables are soft, then serve hot with steamed rice.
