Buenas Misua (Chinese Vermicelli) are extremely thin, salted noodles made from wheat flour, prized for their delicate texture and incredibly fast cooking time. Unlike rice or glass noodles, these wheat-based strands are opaque and slightly yellow, traditionally symbolizing long life in Asian cultures.

USAGE:

Because Misua noodles are so thin, they cook in as little as 1 to 2 minutes and can easily become mushy if over-boiled.
As a Soup: Sauté garlic, onions, and your choice of protein (like ground pork or sardines) in a pot, then add broth. Once boiling, drop the dry Misua directly into the soup; it will cook and thicken the broth almost instantly.
As a Stir-fry: Quickly boil the noodles for about one minute, drain them immediately, and toss them into a pan with sautéed vegetables, shrimp, and soy sauce.
Serving Tradition: Often served with sponge gourd (patola) or topped with a soft-boiled egg and toasted garlic for a classic Filipino comfort meal.
